How many of those did you sample? That’s some collection for drinking

I had some wild turkey rare breed last night I like, it’s mid range price wise I think I paid €60 for it.

He had more in the basement too.

I had 4 of them: red spot, green spot, one of the midletons and the cuatro bariles which I wasn’t mad about at all CC @Malarkey and @glasagusban

Red spot is a bit of a gimmick for me. Yellow spot just as good and green spot not far off yet it’s mad money to buy

To be honest, it all went a bit bonkers when the brand got serious traction. Same with redbreast with the 12 holding it’s own against all comers.

I think the other redbreasts are better than the spots. Redbreast do a lovely sherry bomb and the 12 year old cask strength is unreal.

Is this the purple bottle box?

Yep, an “airport exclusive”

Usually a bad sign

Agreed, but hadn’t had a bad redbreast up until that point

I was gifted a bottle of it and didn’t think it was great. It was gone after 3 sittings though so I thought I might have been overly harsh on it!

I didn’t find it easy to put away, even after I cleared the neck. Maybe it was just perseverance on your part, or you’re a boozehound

Home measures are a dangerous thing :astonished:

It’s decent stuff. On par with Black Barrel and Crested. Bit more of a kick off it. That must be the protestant in it

I had a couple of glasses last night, it’s decent alright. I’ll keep it on the bank holiday roster.

I’m about to hit up a bottle of teelings i got coming home from turkey last weekend. Its delicious. Duty free is well worth it for the upgrade in quality you get for the price you normally pay

Should we bump the Teach an Mhadra thread?
