The guinness was ridiculous in here in it’s day. My last address in Dublin was between Vicar St and Thomas St, and Fallons was determined as the local. There’s a chipper across the road, that we were told that the lad loses the head everytime you order an egg, so to add an egg into every order you make. Curry, cheese and chips, with an egg. ‘THERE’S NO FUCKING EGGS’!!
A good friend of mine works in there, not the worst place in fairness. Pint is solid
Lovely spot. Right beside temple bar geographically, but not spiritually.
He’s some man.
Runs a military like operation on All Ireland Final day.
Beforehand he’d be keeping a close eye on proceedings in The Big Tree. Then afterwards he’d be organising the queue for the roaster carvery in An Poitin Stil.
Ended up in The Bar with No Name after midnight last night. A surprisingly good bop in there. I ended up on the ginger beers. Tasted like 7up but 4.5%. Unfortunately my comrades didn’t have the longevity for Ryan’s of Camden Street afterwards.
Haven’t been in that place in a few years but decent enough of a spot I always felt.
One of my favourite bars in Dublin.
Every Thursday night for about 5 years started in the smoking area
Where is that?
Ah, I see Toners in the newspaper clip on the wall.
I believe Paul is still the manager there.
I only know of him through the 51 as they share the same owners.
Paul is a lovely fella.
