Dublin V Cork All Ireland Hurling SmeiFinal

I know how you feel, mate. My correctly titled, official British Loins thread was briefly usurped by Antoā€™s wrongly titled sham of a thread. It was a chastening few minutes for me.

Agree.

Itā€™s a fucking free for all these days. Anyway, I suppose I better just suck it up and start looking forward to this smeifinal thingy-sounds like it could be entertaining.

Wicked hard game to call but I cant see Dublin losing thisā€¦

Saying that you canā€™t see Dublin losing would indicate that you donā€™t see it as a hard game to call.

Cork will win.

You found it easier than you thought.

If Dublin reach the levels of the Galway game this could be rather one sided.

Dublin will bottle this, mark my words.

Not a hope in hell of this happening. If Cork do win, it will be hard earned.

I have been thinking hard about it all week.

I only came to my conclusion after watching Championship matters last night. If Paul Flynn is going for Cork then thatā€™s good enough for me.

due to many circumstances beyond my control I have not watched Dublin play since the game in wexford parkā€¦are they any good?..I am giving serious thought to going on sundayā€¦but iā€™ll decide on the day depending on the weatherā€¦I havenā€™t seen cork play since Clare matchā€¦with that in mind I foresee Dublin bullying Cork on sunday and beating them by 5 plus pointsā€¦

For fuck sake scumpot cop onto yourself.

Not likely. They could well win, but after the timber Cork gave Kk and the general one-in/all-in attitude of them would indicate that wonā€™t happen. That doesnā€™t mean Dublin wonā€™t out physical them, but they wonā€™t bully them.

interestingā€¦like I saidā€¦i didnā€™t see the gameā€¦very unlike Cork and JBM to use timber throughout the team kev, no?..would have thought Dublin would dish it out like they did to tipp 2 years ago in the semiā€™sā€¦that was brutal that match if you rememberā€¦serious hits in that gameā€¦

There was not timber throughout the team, but for Cork, there was loads. Alot of the Cork lads really stood up to KK, often much bigger men (Fennelly & Tyrell spring to mind) and pushed them off the ball and even win a few square ups. Shane O Neill and McLoughlin gave planty timber, SON should have got the line.

If Dublin are to win theyā€™ll have to do it like against Galway, physically bully Cork and get a decent lead. I donā€™t see that happening and I think the Cork half-back line will have enough to deal with Keaney and the other Dublin forwards.

If the game is in any way close I expect Corkā€™s superior hurling craft and innate Corkness to win it for them.

I feel the five week break will have seriously disrupted Dublinā€™s momentum while Cork have had two matches in that time. They also have superior scoring threats from play.

These Cork arseholes think they only have to show up after beating a 14 man Kilkenny. They are in for a rude awakening

Iā€™m surprised he wasnā€™t cited or whatever it is they call it. The ref will be wise to this and I reckon he wonā€™t get away with the same again.

Anyone know did Dublin play a round of club games during the break or what?

Dublin GAA players donā€™t do the whole club thingā€¦
