I think FF/SF might happen. Maybe just to get United ireland over the line and FF using shinners to drive it. The resignation of a haype of FG TDs tells me somethings up.
Otherwise independents may have a big say

What site is that?
Will be interested to see Wicklow priced up. O’Donnell will be sent packing
What do you reckon is a realistic target for labour?
Boyles
Why is Gerard Hutch not 500/1 or something?
I would 100% be taking on donnelly there but I’ve no idea with who. I must ask the wicklows
If Donnelly doesnt get in then i think shay cullen is the value there
Boyles
Lads, i think there is plenty of value in Shay Cullen in Wicklow at 11-2
If Donnelly gets in he has no chance but there is a fair hope for a lot of people that wicklow remembers the shafting donnelly gave the electorate by joining ff.
Harris should be safe given he is the energy taoiseach. And whitmore and the sf lad are very short odds.
Next is timmins of fg at 6-4 Given that harris squeaked in last time, i doubt there is a second fg seat.
Matthews the green is next at 10/3. With Whitmore sucking up the lefty liberal vote and no huge green wave then id see matthews struggling.
Which leaves shay on 11/2
Shay was FG, and came second in their race for a candidate but timmins was selected over him so he went indepenent. Hes a former mayor i think so had a bit of a profile but is well placed to take a ‘fuck them’ stance which is always popular. If he polls at all well at the start he could well get a few transfers on the grounds that he was hard done by. Id reckon donnely gets in, but if not, id say cullen has a better chance than timmins or mathews.
Boyles have a lot of the constituencies up now, Galway West shaping up to be a nail biter, only Grealish looks safe, seats 2 to 5 will be a bear pit.
Mike Cubbard is great value at 12/1. Every townie will give him some sort of a decent vote.
Being from Carnmore, Grealish is defying the geography odds. But his seat is very safe. That old PD, Bobby Molloy vote is still strong in Galway west.
Im sure Cubbard has a few skeletons though…
Not much to sink your teeth into there. They aren’t giving leddin much chance
Anyone able to explain Carlow/Kilkenny?
3 FF in top 4 betting followed by 5 ranging 11/8 to 3/1
Without looking, I’d say you have the Carlow FF seat, the John McGuinness banker seat in KK city and the South Kilkenny Aylward seat.
It’s Chap Cleere running for the Aylwardite wing this time around.
His base is down around Graig
My Carlow sources reckon the Jennifer Murnane O’Connor FF seat is safe enough
