European Super League Super Thread

It’s a dreary enough competition. It runs for over 11 months. You can pretty much hand pick the 16 teams that will advance from the group stages and most of the places seem to be filled after 4 of the 6 rounds. It does get more interesting once it’s down to the knock out stages but you’re 8-9 months on that stage in February/March for a tournament that started the previous June.

If done right it’d be class. It won’t be done right though

You shouldn’t leave an incontinence mate.

England, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland in a break away half in half out league

@ChairmanDan this could help end the three year search for a name for the white elephant.

Football needs a leader like Dela now more than ever before.

This money that Spurs have is news to me. I thought according to @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy we were the most indebted club in the world and don’t have two pennies to run together?

You built a £1bn white elephant stadium.

The 12 teams they have plus Munich, Dortmund, Paris, Galatasaray, Roma and Ajax would be a grand league. I’d watch that.

I think there would have to be some knockout element to keep it entertaining but it’s definitely better than watching Liverpool play Burnley or whoever

Shur it’s all pantomime at this stage, like WWE. Ordinary fans have long been priced out of the game … might as well just let the cream of the crop go at it.
