There was something on RTE about it some years back but I donāt see it online, it was an awful story

Same story in Loughill where the official signposts say Loghill.
There plenty of instances of this around the country. Something about using the spellings on the ordinance survey maps. Iāve seen Puckane and Toomevara spelled variously on different roads signs.
Murroe vs Moroeā¦ Itās all the based on the Brits trying to figure out what we were saying anyways.
