A beautiful Marina walk, Blackrock Castle, Crawford Art gallery, the English Market, wonderful bars and resteraunts, Fitzgerald Park is home to an amazing playground and gardens, the shaky Bridge is a good visit…the old Jail, Blarney stone,
Blackrock Castle is outside the City. Limerick has a market and yeah, English market is fine for a walk through … But there’s nothing major in most Irish cities outside Dublin as far as attractions go… You forgot the women’s prison and Shandon on your list by the by… I see your edit now… Blarney not in the city either

The all Ireland’s will come and go, and Limerick city will be delighted with them,
But it’ll always be a rugby town with an obsession with English football.

It will never make a profit.
There is absolutely no expense spared in kitting this out and the problem is when you pitch yourself as a cutting edge venue, the edge keeps moving forward every couple of years.

When they sell up the council will buy it for far more than its worth to hold some gallery or something only for it to be used as a few offices by a couple of head honcos and in 5 years it will be vacant.

It used to be much worse. Gradually getting better, they did a fine job all along the Quays imo although it’s still lacking a bit in something to actually draw people down there. House in fairness is a decent spot for the location.
The walkway along the back of the council buildings is a good example of what you’re on about. You’d barely even know it’s there, it seems to be barricaded off at either end half the time and it’s grotty as hell.
