I started the week with a tickly throat. Nothing major but was disrupting my sleep. As the week went on it developed into a full blown ‘sore throat’. I marked it down as a cold and went about my business with a package of fishermans friend in my pocket.

Woke up yesterday with an earache, and pain in my back teeth. Very irritiating. Nonetheless I went to work but my voice was gone by home time.

Went to bed at 10.30 pm in an effort to sleep it off but I think iv allowed this to develop into a full blown problem. Throat is raw, coughing up phlegm. My two ears are hopping and my teeth are also giving me bother.

Iv been up since 2am and thrown on an oul collar of pork for slow cooking there as we are going to a christening later on and i said id bring it on. Only the Mitre 10 cup is keeping me going on sky sports.

I dont want to do it but I think I am going to have to go to South doc for an antibiotic

The most fortuitous Mitre Cup illness ever. I haven’t taken an antibiotic in 20 years. In your situation I’d maunka honey and lemon the bejaysus out of myself.

Much better today lads thanks, in no small part, to tfk rallying around me. Some of the PMs I got yesterday really helped me get through this and meant I didn’t have to resort to antibiotics like some of the softer members.

Ive a cold/flu/manflu/sore throat, coughing and sneezing ever since i watched that wanker lowry in portrush.

Took two days and stayed in bed and felt way worse after it.

Been ating zinc, vitamin c etc brought a bottle of oregano oil from Canada but cant find it so am too stubborn to buy another one.

Any suggestions
