Less-Ceann Comhairle John McGuinness was quite forthcoming on the party ills there on Radio 1 just now. Unsurprisingly John is able to locate where the malaise has taken root - at the top.
A fine evisceration of the leader and the cabal of fuckwit advisors he’s surrounded himself with.
The parliamentary party were frogmarched onto the Gavin bus but mercifully there were enough with the guts to stand by their man (Kelleher). John thinks about 10 days is enough for Champ to fart about with reflections etc before fucking off with himself.
John wants the organisation to get back to being just that, every paid up member counts. He finds that taking a party that could garner 45% of the vote in the past now reduced to 17% a total embarrassment. A bit to digest in John’s musings but he has Champ in the crosshairs.

I’m sure there must be the odd person in Cavan who thinks it’s a distortion of the natural order that they don’t win All-Irelands any more and think it’s just a question of replacing the manager and Sam will be coming home.

Martin’s really made a mess of things since the election. Cosying up to Lowry and the Healy Raes was madness.
That piece in The Phoenix about him being on stage with one of the Colliston brothers — nodding along while the guy complained about bad planning in Ireland and gave the example of a wind farm in Cork that couldn’t be built — is wild, especially since it turns out Martin himself was one of the objectors
