You’re the one bringing up Messi in a discussion nothing to do with him. He missed a penalty, was a constant threat and very close to scoring a few times. The last time Messi scored 4 goals in the group stages and you said the group stage didn’t matter, and now he doesn’t score in a group game and you are criticising him for his performance, which is it?

I can’t see Peru getting anything off France. They’re a nice team but there’s a naivety and a brittleness to them. Their best chance is if Denmark lose to both Australia and France and to get a three way tie and go through on goal difference by thumping Australia.
He’s just shit in major international tournaments mate, a bottler.

Ireland have played reasonably attractive football under Michael O’Neill. Eire are just dreadful to look at though.
