Kev is fucking KO’d
Although I won’t be playing championship for the club for a while I was just hoping to get some advice on the best way of easing up on training coming up to an important game. How do ye guys ease off coming up to a championship game in relation to gym etc. Do ye go to gym the week of a race? Do ye lift heavy with low reps or lift light with reps?
Less volume is key. So drop down to maybe 50%, but on big lifts like squats just do 2 lighting warm up sets at 3-5 reps and then 1 set at a max range in the 2-5 range. That would be it then. What you really need to avoid is taxing your nervous system too much near games.
Personally I would drop any extra exercises too. Probably do a Clean, Bench and Squat and nothing else as described above. Could be done in 25 mins.

It’s a good bit less sneaky though than making private contact with someone, getting them to help you in your professional life, but then using the information about myself to share it around and to use it for a childish laugh on a night out to look cool in front of your mates. Runt came to me about this for advice. We duly conversed. He showed me a site he was building for the big Financial firm in Limerick he was the IT manager (gofer) for. He also had some side projects. He pleaded with me not to let any information out. As I was only having conversation an really didn’t care about him or his life I have not even retained his name in my head, I have forgotten.
Anyway time went on and runt shared info about me to other which culminated in some very immature phone calls from him, carry Harry and a few others. Such are lads I suppose.
Alit of this came back to me over time. But at the time a limerick poster PM’s me to not trust the runt, he is a sneaky prick. I shrugged the e-shoulders, whatever. Since then I was told runt had given my info to other posters and they used it whatever way they wanted.
It’s not really had any affect in my life, one phone call. But it shows the type of person runt is. I think everyone should know.

Of course it’s true. Why would I even bother. How would I know what company he worked for?
Anyway as you say, it really was not an issue in terms of how it affected me, just reflects on him and a few others here badly. The thing is I don’t know anyone here, but runt does and I’m sure they view him differently because if shit like this. At least that was my reaction when pike started feeding me info on other posters.
