Dusted off this session I haven’t done in a few years last night:
Rowing machine, 10 mins, medium power, sprint the second last minute.
Clean and press 10 reps x 3
Treadmill, 10 mins: 90 seconds jog then intervals, 1 min as fast as possible, 1 min jog, finishing with 90 secs jog again.
Deadlift with bent over row, 3x10.
Bike, 10 mins, intervals using the resistance, as above.
Backward lunges with forward raise, 3x10.
Cross trainer, 10 mins, as above.
Push-ups, hands using a pair ofdumbells as handles and legs balanced on the point of one foot on a bosu ball, pause for 3 at the bottom and too of each push-up, 3x12.
What the fuck is that? Specific to DL with bent over rows?
Holding bar bell lean forward and do a row, straighten back up in what is more of half a dead lift or a back extension I suppose. I just use the name I was given.

Seriously? Notwithstanding his outdated approach (working muscles not movements), his arrogance to dismiss other ways and to say outdoubtably scientific proof.
You will build muscle, but you won’t ice too well in years to come that way.
I would have to do it, but as described it seems an accident waiting to happen. Or at least you’d want 5-6 mins rest after each set, and running after it, especially at oace is asking for trouble

Low weight, 3x10 reps, comes after the running, as above. Sounds awkward as I explain it maybe but it’s alright. Thoughts on the session? It’s pretty intense and leaves me sweating bullets. Fucking myself up no doubt?
It’s such an uncommon movement , do it without any weight and see does it mimic any standard movement you would do in life or playing sport. If not drop it. You are putting a huge amount of work thru your back, if you are mechanically faulty at all you will be creating a dysfunctional mess
I don’t use any weights or power related machines in the gym but noticed something called an abdominal crunch machine today. Does anyone use these? I only run and cycle but am having trouble shifting my gut on account of i probably drink more alcohol than i should. Will this machine banish my gut?
