Informative. I’d heard about the John Leahy incident before but didn’t realise there was a Footix element to it. That’s actually incredible that Irish men in their mid-20’s took it seriously enough to scrap over the EPL. The Footix clearly isn’t a new phenomenon so. Leahy a scouser.
The story goes, he was over for a weekend in Old Trafford, and in the hotel bar after said to some bloke at the bar (who most likely was a footix) that, as we say in Limerick “he wud a lovin if yanited scored” in Old Trafford so he would experience the atmosphere. Barfly footix fucked him out of it saying it was a disgrace because he was a Liverpool fan. Drunken footix fight ensued. I’d say yer man probably roared at the bar staff in a Meath accent “Call the old bill love!”
You’ve posters on here who set up a stalker group talk about

@Aertel220 should become one of those talking heads on SSN for a short time, just long enough to call Miguel Delaney a cunt on air.
Actually, just call him ‘Michael’, that would drive him nuts.
@Aertel220 ’s encyclopaedic (is that a word?) football knowledge is only rivalled by lapsed poster @Scrunchie who was on WhatsApp at the weekend listing Michael Oliver’s top 10 worst decisions. “7. Didn’t stop game after he impeded Brighton player & Palace scored.” It was absolutely incredible stuff. cc @Gman @Monkey_Allen
Now that I’m aware of Boniface’s impending move to one of those Al “something” clubs in Saudi I’m quite optimistic for Big Ev in Leverkusen. A very exotic move.
Proper footixing there, only amatuers here in comparison to that
It woulda been fascinating to watch these lads react to actual groundbreaking innovations in the game of association football.

Inane discussion around coaches
What about the Irish footix who support Burnley, Sheffield Wednesday etc, the non glory hunter clubs. A special kind of footix?
Never forget
