I don’t know whether the verdict is right or wrong but I have thought that the case would have been viewed far less sympathetically if it had been a father that had killed the children while mentally ill.

It’s very hard to prove insanity and you don’t know anything about it.

The woke getting upset about somebody using “ladies and gentlemen” in good faith while then defending child killers.

This was a truly harrowing case and I believe the verdict reached is the correct one. A key question is that whether justice or society is best served by imprisoning this woman for life or committing her to the care of the mental health services. On balance, the latter is more appropriate.
