I would say there is definitely a flood risk on that side of the road beside the Shannon. If thats addressed re a good flood defence - they should drive on.

Its good to see houses being built though. We need them. Its as simple as that.

Once the embankment holds she should be ok. But remember a couple of years ago somebody left the slues gates open in Coonagh and Na Piarsaigh flooded. I’d be more worried about the buildings on the river side of the road alright.

Happened in Corbally a few years back as well. The lad from Irish Water or its equivalent was up in Galway apparently and the canal flooded half of the Corbally road.

I heard another good one. Again just stating facts.

The Ukrainians have been given free postage. Seemingly the size and number of some of the boxes being posted home are literally off the scales. It wouldn’t have been rocket science to put some sort of a weekly limit on it.

They’re hardly hoovering up the local telly and tool supply and sending it home. Whatever they’re sending is likely bought here and they’re sending ahead stuff before they head back.

My son works in a shop near a post office. They’ve been plagued over the last few weeks with Ukrainians coming in looking for empty boxes.

All the free stuff they are being given. Houses, cars, boxes full of money, food etc. Its free postage no matter what size and free stuff. Freeloading cunts

Who’s there on the other side to get it? Shur the place is being bombed to smithereens, there’s hardly someone there chilling in a house they’ve sent over by multiple parcels enjoying bags of taytos and boxes of Barry’s tea …the postmen being sent out to deliver all this while be bombed to bits is a serious lack of respect.
