Further Things That Are Wrong (Part 1)

Certain folk could take offense to it, their sensitivities far out weigh your own personal beliefs inside your home!

@anon7035031 no wait until later on im on the night shift!!

I told you, three times and he’ll appear. You asked for it.

I wanted them to keep me going through the night though!

by the looks of it he mightn’t have finished his post until you’re well into the shift

Seven (7) mentions while I was sleeping, it must be some kind of record.

Here are my thoughts. It’s fascinating to read the thoughts of a bunch of white Irish lads living in Ireland moralizing on how a country thousands of miles away should deal with it’s history of racism (and yes it has a history of racism and racism still exists today). It might be more appropriate to consider how to deal with the history of oppression in their own country, but sure that would be a bit too difficult.

Since the time of slavery in the US Ireland has had two oppressors, the English and the Catholic church. What was done to Irish people by the English, including the 19th century genocide, far exceeds anything done to black people in the US. Based on the outrage on display in this thread, no Irish person should rest until all symbols of Englishness are erased from Ireland. Maybe start by fucking @Sidney back across the Irish sea. All statues of English people from history should be torn down, all place names with English connection changed, and English as a language officially banned and replaced by Gaelic. The English language after all was violently forced on Irish people against their will.

Moving along to the 20th century, the Roman Catholic church committed unspeakable crimes against Irish people, mostly innocent children, and covered it up for decades. Tear down all religious statues and churches or convert the churches to something useful.

@glasagusban, do you support the removal of the English language in Ireland and the blowing up of all religious statues in Ireland, and if not, why not?

Just before I go for a nap pal what are your own personal thoughts on both Robert Lee as a man and the demand to remove monuments/statues erected in his memory?

IV a lovely lawn out the back for him if no one else will take him.

Id be proud to have him on show, id put a Limerick flag on one side of him and a Confederate battle flag on the other.

Confederate Uniforms were made in Limerick - By Mr. Tait … True story … @glasagusban must be sickened ---- he’ll want Tait’s clock blown up next.

This has made my day, the 40,000 plus Irish who fought for the Confederacy really were wearing home comforts!

Honestly mate, I’d be fairly shocked if you weren’t already aware of that fact

It’s Limerick’s Perkin Warbeck, trotted our endlessly but not educating anybody

H’on the rebels

And of course the Cork boys still use the Confederate flag at every opportunity also

He must be torn when Irish snowflakes like our glas demanded it be removed from the terraces.
