GAA All Star Wars

Shocking lack of knowledge from the Wexfordian here

Like all Wexford fans he thinks hurling ended in 1996.

Coincidentally tied in with Celtic’s return to form in the Scottish league after Rangers’ decade of dominance, a new bandwagon to follow

@Fagan_ODowd having a bit of a Friday afternoon gloat. He was probably seething the way the blade was lowered on Waterford on here during the summer but he kept above it.

What’s the lowest return for beaten AI finalist? I think Tipp got as low as 1 or was it none in 2011?

Burke and Barron is the nailed on midfield partnership, chaps.

Would be harsh if Brendan Maher was overlooked.

I disagree.

One for Waterford in 2008 ( Eoin Kelly )

Tipp got two in 2011.

Your are not a nice man. Brendan shored up midfield & was the reason Ronan Maher excelled this year.

I’m not claiming he wasn’t an important cog or anything. He played a deeper role augmenting the half back line alright but I thought the other two were more (buzz word coming) dynamic and gave more impressive midfield displays. I’m a traditionalist, you see, and want my midfielders marauding up and down the pitch.

Paul Murphy was utterly at sea in the All Ireland final. If he gets an award it will be on reputation alone.
