GAA All Star Wars

Cheeky Kilkenny cunt.

St Finbarrs, if you include hurling and football.

Fuck it youā€™re dead right, I completely overlooked him, I amend my selection accordingly. Itā€™s now the perfect selection.

Cork have never got the Number 15 jersey in football.

Cathal Daly in the Number 4 jersey brought up the full compliment for the Offaly footballers in 1997 as did John Troy for the hurlers when he got the Number 11 jersey in 1999.

Kieran Fitzgerald at Number 2 and Michael Donnellan at Number 12 brought up the full compliment for the Galway footballers in 2001 as did Damien Hayes at Number 15 for the Galway hurlers in 2005.

Heā€™s no more from Kilkenny.

Im giving that statement a like

How many have the Barrs between the two codes?
Theyā€™re surely the club on top of the list if both codes are included.
Just for hurling would the rockies or the barrs have more?

Iā€™d guess the barrs

Iā€™d have thought the other. Iā€™ll have to look into it.
I can think of 8 for the rockies and Iā€™d say Pat Moylan has one to make 9.

I make it 11. Jimmy Barry Murphy (obviously in both codes), Tony Maher, Con Roche, Gerald McCarthy, Charlie McCarthy, Ger Cunningham, Ronan Curran

In football theyā€™d have John Kerins, Dave Barry, Michael Slocum and Michael Shields

Reckon the Rockies have 9 - Ray Cummins (in both codes), John Horgan, Pat Moylan, Tom Cashman, Dermot McCurtain, Jim Cashman, Wayne Sherlock, Fergal Ryan and their import from Kilkenny - Frank Cummins.

Ya. Those were my 9 as well.
So Blackrock are top dogs in hurling in Cork as the Glen have nowhere close to that Iā€™d say.

Liberties had 3 in one year alone Hartigan,Grimes and McKenna(1975) and Limerick won fuck all that year. They have 13 awards between them 5,2 and 6.
The Well have 10 all in. All information from Wiki so this could be all BS

Reckon they have 7 anyway - Martin Oā€™Doherty, Denis Coughlan, Pat Horgan, Tomas Mulcahy, John Fitzgibhon, Seanie McGrath and Patrick Horgan.

Conor Hayes played with Glen Rovers for a few years as well in the 80ā€™s. He won three All Stars in 1986, 87 & 88. Not sure whether he was back with Kiltormer for all of those or whether some were won when still with Glen Rovers.

Iā€™d say Patrickswell have six - Richie Bennis, Sean Foley, Leonard Enright, Gary Kirby, Ciaran Carey and Brian Murray.

Ciaran Carey and Gary Kirby probably the only two multiple winners there.

Shocked that/if the older Pat Horgan has an all star. I was an admirer of his but he never nailed down a place with Cork.

Morning, Geoff. Could you help me out with the winners from these clubs?

Harriers - Ned Buggy, Willie Murphy, Larryo.
Rathnure - John Conran, Martin Quigley and ? (Jimmy Holohan?).
Buffers Alley - Tony Doran, Tom Dempsey and ?
Oulart - Mick Jacob, Liam Dunne, Martin Storey.
Rapparees - Adrian Fenlon and ?
St Martinā€™s - George Oā€™Connor and Rory McCarthy.
Duffry Rovers - Damien Fitzhenry.
St Anneā€™s - Darragh Ryan.
Cloughbawn - Larry Murphy.
Rathgarogue/Cushinstown - Eamonn Cleary.

They never played him at 6 much . His best position by a mile .

Not good enough at that time though when we were blessed with half backs

Colm Doran, John Quigley and Christy Keogh.

You disgrace.
