GAA All Star Wars
Would have had McHugh, McGee, McGlynn, Mone and McBrearty in the team ahead of Paul Murphy, Cillian O’Connor, Donaghy, Boyle and McCarthy.

Yet you say you don’t have a northern bias

They came through the Ulster Championship where there are many more tough obstacles than the cakewalk in other provinces for Mayo, Dublin and Kerry. Unfortunately the All Stars are decided on what happens in August and September. The Paul Murphy award was a joke, he played the majority of the year at wing back and part of the very small time he spent in the corner got roasted by Paddy McBrearty and taken for two point in about five minutes. Dessie Mone was the best wing back in the Championship and if he had played for any of the big counties now he’d have four of five All Stars in his back pocket. I would rate him and Sean Leo McGoldrick as the best wing backs in the game but neither have won All Stars.

Gotta look on the bright side - at least none of those Roscommon fuckers got one either. The usual shite, Mone was more deserving than McCarthy.

Colin O’Riordan of Tipp had a better year and is a better footballer. I d have given him the award

Whatever gave you that idea? Here was the All Star side he selected a few weeks back. 7 for the beaten finalists Donegal, 8 Ulster in total and 4 from the All Ireland champions, Kerry.

Thought Dyas, Campbell and Corey would have been worth nominations at the least.
O’Riordan deserved it. The standard in Munster is very strong at the moment. Kerry’s toughest game all year was against Clare.

2 of Kerry’s All Star winners of 2014 (including their player of the year nomination) in an away game didn’t play in that game and they won by 4 points. Kerry had much tougher game against Mayo who brought them to an extra time replay and Donegal who were the width of a post from bringing them to a replay.

Anyone watching this? Cody being interviewed there. “Yeah it was sweet to win the All-Ireland, we wouldn’t have been fancied at the start of the year.”

They were FAVOURITES FFS!!

Jackie Tyrrell sitting beside an auld one in the audience with his tux on, i wonder did he bring his mother along for a night out.

Bergin robbed

They should have named Kerry’s Paul Murphy at right corner back on the hurling team and Kilkenny’s Paul Murphy at right corner back on the football team for the laugh.

Well deserved for Shane McGrath

Wtf Shane McGrath?

Outstanding every game he played

Btw, good shot of caul p on the sportsfile pics

He certainly was not. Take the limerick game in thurles when jimbob and brownie ran midfield. Scoring points from play is not the primary job of the midfielder, and that is what he did

That is better, well done Shane.

Forgot he played in that game actually. Was a one man midfield that day as Bergin was nowhere to be seen. Outstanding since the Dublin game so

That’s some roaster head on Shane Dowling.

Who was the one pictured as Callanan was walking up to receive his award? Oh yes.

Good call, Barrett was brilliant all year long.
