GAA Managerial Merrygoround Thread

He would want a serious backroom team around him to be any way successful in that job. Joyce and Divilly would be far better in comparison.

Agreed. Two years of Kearns would be perfect and then Joyce and Divilly who really have very little experience at this point.

He’ll be working with inferior forwards to what he had with Tipperary so could be a challenge.
Padraigeen still has it all to prove after being mugged off in the u20 championship.

Democracy in action. Good to see all the delegates allowed to have their say

Interesting stuff also in that report where Kevin O Donovan adressed the rumours on JBM and Jamie Wall (didnt refer to either by name,) and explained why they didnt get involved. Refreshing level of transparency

Good lad

Why did wall not get involved? Was leaving Graeme Mulcahy at midfield (For a full game that you are chasing) a factor

He wanted to be the manager rather than a coach. That wasn’t available to him. He decided not to take it.

Id say he will be involved in due course

John Sugrue the new Kerry U20 Manager

Is he not living in the Midlands?

He is. Renard man originally. Hard to turn down from his POV when they came calling I’d say.

Tony ward has withdrawn from the race

Kerry laying down a successor to Peter Keane.

Be a big move for both

Francis forde and Noel larkin both have now pulled out of the Galway hurling managers race leaving the county board with zero applicants

Did they put in the imaginary “h” in his surname in Laois? Shu-grew

DJ coming in as a selector under Cody. Big (8) step up for him

Shuckrooooooo

Frampton and Molumphy are Cahill’s two selectors, a really solid choice

Even though Stephen Frampton has an absolutely pathological hatred of all things Mount Sion I am very happy to see him in this selecortial role. He is otherwise a very level headed chap
