GAA Managerial Merrygoround Thread

He’s done it on the big stage with a strong supporting cast of sisters but does Jim Corr have that many medals? He probably has a Louth MFC medal now or something.

A medal for staying alive baby.

The thought crossed my mind that this Davy to Offaly is a false flag operation run by Davy himself. He wants to force the hand of Waterford/Dublin to act quickly and appoint him. It wouldn’t put it past the fucker at all.

I think I said as much earlier. He’s be in Dublin within a week

Seems to be nothing in the Davy to Offaly rumours alright.

Offaly county board in a quandary now as Tomás Ó Sé has turned down football job. Everybody assumed he’d take over and there doesn’t seem to have been a Plan B.

The twitter mob think Duignans doing a great job

He wants the Dublin job but would take the Waterford one if offered it. Waterford expect an All Ireland, Dublin would be happy with a Leinster, Davy is no fool

The feeling in Waterford varies from there’s a maximum window of two years for this team to win an All Ireland to the window has shut.

From the outside, the high enduance system that Cahill/Beavens had them playing looked like it had taken its toll physically and mentally. With that in mind, Davy is not the answer as he would like to do more of the same.

A manager with a different approach, more direct/efficient approach may pay dividends. Pat Ryan would have been a good appointment.

Davy to Dublin is what the country demands

What was he doing there otherwise

Davy won a Leinster with Wexford, didn’t he?

After watching Waterford for years,Id respectfully suggest that it might be in your best interests to source someone along the lines of Caroline/Br Damien first and foremost. Its mental fragility thats fucking ye lads.
All the pieces are there.Ye just need someone to put it together.

He did. Beat Kilkenny by a goal thanks to a late Mark Fanning penalty.

The “ pieces “ have aged and are about to take the descent imo.

The Ship has sailed unfortunately or in other words, the Linericks fucked them in the ass.

Sure duignan was talking in the media about him taking over while Maughan was still in charge !

A rare mis-step from the admin maestro Duignan.

Budget being tightened in the Faithful County seemingly. Was a factor in Fennelly not getting extension and maybe explains O Sés change of heart.

Another obvious reason would be the footballers’ inept performances in Leinster v Wexford and in Tailteann Cup semi.

Lowry insisted his money go into underage only. Wise move.
