GAA Rule Changes

Thatā€™s fantastic. Thatā€™s @gman.

The ball not having to travel bit is class.

Iā€™d love to try that free sometime, 40 or 50 yards out, put it on the ground, and just tap it and walk away, and let someone come in, pick it up and play on. Thereā€™d be carnage.

The only time the ball travel is to be measured is 13m on a kick out and 20m for a mark. Other than that there is no rule on how far the ball has to travel before being touched, just the starting position has to be 13m away.

Sure didnā€™t Offaly try it with a line ball in the U20 but Stack wasnā€™t interested. Far be it from me to defend him but the ball did only rock a bit.

If they had taken a more ā€˜traditionalā€™ attempt at a sideline and that was his first attempt and then he went to pull on it again, Iā€™d be fairly certain the ref would give a free out.

Johnny should have been paying attention.

Youā€™d be a as well to quietly say it to the ref beforehand, thatā€™s how to get around these matters

I thought it was illegal at the time but it was fine. Stack ordering a retake made no sense either way. Iā€™m surprised more clips of this didnt show up on social media l. It was great thinking by Screeney and his clubmate, Spain

Jim Gavin to save Gaelic football once again

Once would do, heā€™d be breaking even then

That should be the end of your Niall Scullys.

Ah Iā€™m only joshing guys, itā€™ll at least mean Ciaran Kilkenny might be allowed kick from distance again.

Nothing about deliberate jersey tearing. Sad.

Be some craic trying to decide whether a lad kicked it from inside or outside the two point zone.

Could live with the 4 point goal.

Small square kickouts to make the ball travel less seems odd if we want to encourage launching it.

Tap and go freekicks :face_vomiting:

The tap and go free kick has an even easier solution. Just play on, once they cross the point of where the free is, or if they choose to run or handpass it. Tap and go is just making it more rugby shite. Choke tackle. fuck sake. rucks, restarts, vanishing foam, gain lines, aping other sports and not showing any shame in it.

Wigan Warriors will piss the All Ireland next year

Nothing about the handpassed point.

Despite a Dublin back post palmed goal being the best thing to watch in all of sport, Iā€™d ban palmed goals too, especially the Dublin speciality back post palmed goals off a loopy handpass that takes the goalkeeper out of the game.

Perhaps a new arc could be introduced 10 metres from the goal, inside which a palmed goal would be banned?

That way a Mattie McGleenan special would still be legal.

The advanced mark is beyond awful.

Jimā€™ll Fix it! Actually maybe not.

They could just reduce a load of the lines on the pitch
