Gaa split season, killing Meath football since 2011

I reckon we’ll beat Dublin Sunday.

“Davy Fitzs blue and white army”

As an aside, I see online that Pat Gilroy arranged for the Dubs to meet with & make a presentation to the Stardust families tonight.

Great to see clubs have their under 17 and under 20 county players that they produced available to them in the good months of the summer. Some difference to the previous system where they wouldnt see them until mid September if they were successful.

Hope is a thing with feathers.

Waterford are an absolute unknown. They could be anything. They have the players. Davy will have them flying fit. Just a matter of finding a system that works.
I wouldn’t read anything into the league. Davy is all about cloak and dagger.

No home game is a bit of a bollox though.

Clubs don’t see U20 players until September because they’re off on J1’s or abroad for the summer.

J1 at 20? Clubs losing very few players at 20 to J1’s. At 21 maybe but under 21 grade is no more.

I’d say our club haven’t had a lad on a J1 in 4 or 5 years. It’s hugely overstated but now, even if they do go they’ll miss very little championship. Most are home middle of August.

Its all Ibiza and Sziget these days.

Under 17/20 players should be able to juggle Inter County and Club commitments throughout the year.

Whatever the tiny merits of a split season at Adult, its completely mental at underage.

If you buy the examiner you dont get to listen to the podcast at all.

I can only imagine the majority of fellas who enjoy it are the last type to pay for a podcast

I am certainly in that demographic. Good luck to them etc, but I think that could finish them.

That’s a February league crowd in Salthill.

I’m crestfallen by the whole thing.
