I’d have thought Seamus Harnedy is a bit long in the tooth for the summer trip to America. Grand top up to his teacher salary I suppose.

They don’t make 33 year old veteran players like they used to. You’d never equate 2000 Willie O’ Connor for instance as being the same age as 2023 Seamus Harnedy.

Harnedy reminds me of myself in some ways in that he’s very baby faced and would pass for 10 years younger than his actual age.
Who’d have thunk this Split Season nonsense would actually benefit US Clubs rather than the clubs on the ground in Ireland?
Whoever loses today will see another mass exodus. The fact there aren’t many Wexford lads gone though might actually be a shot in the arm for the clay court style Summer blitz in association with Sharkey’s Chipper.

It’ll be tight to get over for the July 1st deadline. Although I’d say some have the flights on standby. Instead of swapping jerseys at the end today, players might swap flights.

Thankfully they’ll be back in time for the junior soccer and rugby seasons.
I see many lads are know doing an 8 week j1 where they don’t get a job over and just go on the beer.
