Has there ever been an organisation in the history of the world than has destroyed themselves like the GAA with the split season?

I do feel sorry for Kerry folk that they miss out on the magic of the muster hurling championship. Their footballers get maybe two serious challenges a year if they reach an all Ireland final. Where as every hurling game in Munster is an all Ireland final.

Itā€™s logical from a history, geographical and traditional point of view why football has flourished where it did. What I donā€™t understand is why it continues to do so, when hurling is a far superior sport in every aspect.

Hurling should be the number one GAA sport in all 32 counties. Bad land or not.

Donegal - Tyrone is a smashing game

The big hurling counties are happy with the way it is.They donā€™t want any new members.Theyre in their own bubble and thatā€™s the way they want it.

The GAA should offer free flights to America with every match ticket purchased for the football round robin.

The round round robin goes bob bob bobbin along up in ballybofey with a bumper crowd

Great to have the hurling wrapped up today more less.

Game at Croke Park 5.00pm
Dublin senior games throw in at 6.30pm.
GAA stone useless.

Itā€™s great to have it out of the way.

Roy Curtis sums up the anti split season brigade. Getting pissed in a pub telling the same stories and is gutted his fun is over 5 weeks earlier than usual. He could go and support his nephew who plays at a decent level but Roy canā€™t budge from the high stool.

All year the anti split season brigade have been waiting for the Saturday quarter finals with a small attendance. However now Cork have qualified to put a spanner in the works. Sell out quarter finals.
