Although tbf, if they continue to run the football championship in the shambolic format it is currently in, then maybe - just maybe - you might get more of a drift towards hurling, especially considering how close they are to the epicentre of it. While they would be slaughtered if they were in the Munster Championship at the moment, it isn’t exactly a hurling wasteland either.

I do feel sorry for Kerry folk that they miss out on the magic of the muster hurling championship. Their footballers get maybe two serious challenges a year if they reach an all Ireland final. Where as every hurling game in Munster is an all Ireland final.

It’s logical from a history, geographical and traditional point of view why football has flourished where it did. What I don’t understand is why it continues to do so, when hurling is a far superior sport in every aspect.

Hurling should be the number one GAA sport in all 32 counties. Bad land or not.
