So if the railway cup games go well next weekend itās something the gaa are willing to look into possibly tying in with attracting international visitors over for the November rugby internationals

These new rule changes brought in en masse will be a disaster.
Has any other sport tried to recreate itself so drastically in such a short space of time.
The blanket defence is iconic.
The tao and go thing I like and the two points from outside a 45.
Subtle changes would have been enough imo.
Could they build a literal brick wall on each 45 and pen the six defenders and forwards of each team in behind it? That way you could create āzonesā or āsectorsā of play which players couldnāt leave, a bit like East Germany. The sport would be renamed āBerlinā.

I like the 3 stay up rule. I think that and that alone would be a good change.
Itās going to be impossible to implement so many rule changes so quickly.
Do you have to leave 3 defenders back or can you be a bit more cavalier like Louis Van Gaal in Lansdowne Road 2001?
Iād just leave it at there forwards. Your 13, 14 and 15 stay in the opposition half. End of. Simple. Relatively easy to police. Creates more space without totally changing how the game is played
Itās radical but the All Ireland Final showed exactly why radical change is needed.

I expect these three players will have to wear different coloured shorts to the rest of the team. Itād be class to see David Clifford wearing pink shorts or some such.
It sounds ok but in reality is itāll mean Dublin would have won about 11 all Irelands in a row.

Itās possible. I donāt watch much football, because Iām finding it more boring each year, but I donāt remember a huge amount of upsets over the last few years.
The All Ireland was unwatchable, for me anyway, and I think they have to do something. But I canāt see this massive tranche of changes getting the go ahead
It was an horrendous match, only 2 things going for it was it was tight and what was at stake, by all reports players who have taken part of the trial games are speaking very positively of the potential rule changes.
Fitzmaurice could be mugging jim gavin off good and proper here.
