The Comers grand plan is surely based on staying up for starters?
Yere looking at a Glentoran man
Supposed to be decent
Pitch is in fairly poor nick
Shocking.
Bandwagon looking resplendent though
The groundsman had to beg for volunteers to help work on the pitch on Thursday. I canât remember seeing it in such a state in the last decade tbh.
They never got going tonight really. Fair play to Walshy who worked his bollocks off until he got the line. Thought young McCarthy was the best of a very poor lot and didnât seem too bothered by his newsworthy week.
Hurley or Borden as striker tonight is a big call.
Our Premier Division title charge is up and running. Could have scored 6 tonight.
Caulfield might have changed association soccer forever tonight. He didnât play a striker and chose to start some Limerick donkey up top. And it worked!
Chick Deacy Park next week will be buzzing now.
Oriel Park looking like something from behind the iron curtain in the 1970âs.

Went along to the game tonight. I know very little about the league but after Dundalks draw away against the champions last week was expecting it to be a tough night for Galway.
It was a game Galway should have won by more, they had some amount of chances and were entirely comfortable at the back. Seem a solid, well put together outfit and McCormack and Borden gave them something in the middle of the field that Dundalk couldnât match.
Oriel Park is a grand venue, easy to get in and out of, comfortable seats in the stand and decent hospitality. 3k there and a fair number of them were auld fellas, we had two 80 year old men sitting behind us who still have great enthusiasm for âgetting it in the mixerâ
2nd home game and same gammy mic/pa. Not Premier Division standard really.
That Dervin is a handy player. Made that goal
Pitch seems very poor in EDP this season. Ball taking some mad bobbles as the pitch cuts up.
Not as bad as the first match though, but itâs not raining tonight
The pitch wasnât covered during the week so it held up well considering. Lot of sand though.
Huge result. 6/9 points is massive, especially against teams we could be battling relegation with.
Aodh Dervin the best we have so far. A workhorse.
Galway United will not be battling relegation this season. Top half finish beckons.
