Fuck it. If it was the Saturday I might have travelled up for the look

Glynn > Cronin.

Junior B Hurler > Junior C Hurler.

Yet both first choice inter county players.
Canning is one of the best hurlers I’ve ever seen. He’s absolutely brilliant and it will be a crying shame if Galway don’t help him get his senior AI medal. It’s a shame that Ollie never got one either.

Galway

You just have to wonder do they want it enough. This whole enigma shit is wearing very thin, sympathy has run out for them at this stage. What the fuck will it take for them to get their act together and become a force again?
There’s no sympathy in this game for anybody…

Both scored goals in All Ireland finals… Senior.

All hail the hurling genius that is Turenne? What is your scoring record like in Croke Park?

Poor mate, I suppose we should shut this forum down altogether as no on here has goaled in an AI final.

My scoring record up there is prolific - I pulled a bird from wahurford at the semi-final in '07. Proper tinker she was too.

I was just emphasising the ridiculousness of your post. Calling 2 lads that goaled in Senior AI finals Junior B and Junior C hurlers is farcical.

As a matter of interest I’d love to know by which standard you rate your hurlers… I’d say it is a quare breed of the best of Mackey/Ring/Carey and Cuchulain.

This is the game I thought kp was referring to. Maybe I’m wrong.

There are still plenty of great years ahead mate.
My favourite ever hurling match by a country mile. Actually my favourite ever match of any sort ever.

I actually prefer 2001 where we ran through them as opposed to running around them

that was pure mike mac…2 19 yo’s midfield wired to kill. kk didn’t know what hit them

Kilkenny will win this handy. 7 or 8 points.

did you hear about his first night training that team in Athenry in Jan? I cant remember who the galway captain was, lets say it was Eugene cloonan
Training was on 20mins and mike was there standing up with his arms folded watching. Galway were putting on a show, flicks and cross field balls. no tackles etc…mike turned to noel lane and said “take them back to the dressing room”

they go back inside and mike leaves them waiting 10mins. then he goes in and walks over to Eugene cloonan and says," Eugene, how come I don’t recognize any of these lovely hurlers here tonight?"

Cloonan -" Mike that’s because we’re Galway and you wouldn’t know us too well"

MMac -" no Eugene, its because ye’ve won fcuk all. now leave the hurleys down and get the fcuk back out onto that pitch"

We need to track him down. Early to Mid 1990s at Thurles by the look of the caps

i’ll bet you 100 euros they wont @SHANNONSIDER can hold the money if you want the bet

Agreed unfortunately. Galway need to get a big lead and try and keep the noses in front. Won’t happen. JC could do damage , but just won’t get enough decent ball. I’d like to see Damian Hayes get a good run, even in the corner to add a bit of speed. Glennon as third midfielder I’d love to see at some stage, but not maybe vs kk in the championship first up. I don’t think Galway are that bad. Laois are a fine side and would have troubled plenty of teams in those circumstances at home with the crowd (and the ref by all accounts) behind them. Kk look very strong though.

Heard last night that Donnellan is not part of the current panel due to injury.
