General Election 2016

They would be better served by going back to what made them the biggest political party in the country.

Sean Lemassā€™s policies will still get them votes amongst the older generation, but they are dying out. The damage done by Ahern and Cowen is irreparable, which makes it all the more strange that Martin who is as culpable is still the leader.

Just back in from postering and then a quick pint. You have to move quick to get the good spaces on the busy junctions in Dublin

Youā€™re all a bunch of absolute cunts. Fucking disgraceful that this carry on is allowed, making a show of the place clogging up every fucking lampost with your clutter. FOAD the lot of you.

What? Are you taking the piss? I hate those fucking cunts. Labour. All the way. They may be wrong on many things but theyā€™re also right on so many things. And the do-gooder in me hates seeing them vilified for all the shit thrown at them by the cocksuckers.

Go fuck yourself sandy. You are the worst of the worst. Spouting bile and screaming shit no matter what happens. You, like anyone else are entitled to your opinion but go out and do something about it instead of just shouting at lads on the Internet. I like some of labourā€™s policies and donā€™t like some others but they are the closest compromise for what I believe generally should be for the country and what I believe is achievable. Lads jumping up and down and screaming can go join the local students union.

Iā€™m not fond of political posters, but fair play to @Juhniallio and @tallback for actually getting up off their arse and getting involved in something, actually doing something, instead of just sitting around all day complaining.

Politics is for mugs. Democracy me bollix

We need a strong labour partyā€¦ Unfortunately we donā€™t have oneā€¦ Fair play tho, kid. Iā€™ve decided, well I did a while back, to get involved with a party after this election and Iā€™m settled belowā€¦ Iā€™m torn between SF and LAB. Iā€™m left leaning and caught between a party that has lost its identity (LAB) and a party that has to fully establish one outside of a united Ireland.

Go to meetings of both and decide. Iā€™m in a horrible place of arguing for sf when with my labour posse and generally being labour with anyone else.

Yeah, makes sense to flirt with both for a bit I suppose, see who will give up whatā€¦ LAB will need a clear out and return to its old valuesā€¦ Who is the next big thing?

Hope the gable end planning permission was worth it.

There are a few next big things. Obviously decided by who gets elected. Ged Nash is savage. An animal. But his profile is shit despite loads of the savage work he has done on stuff.
ƒ RiordĆ in has a chance of it by dint if being the most omnipresent fucker. Heā€™s slightly marmite, I believe but labour people respect that got into a ministry and did absolutely everything he could with it as opposed to the likes of sherlock. But if Burton doesnā€™t get elected and whyte does they may well go with him as a safe option. Kelly is marmite personified and some see him as the angel of death for the labour party but you have Peter McVerry, the foremost expert on homelessness saying heā€™s the best minister heā€™s ever dealt with. Itā€™s a clusterfuck.

The posters I put up tonight will ensure pp from the powers that be when I really need it in about 5 years time! You need to think of the future!!*

*exclamation marks added to ensure lads know Iā€™m not serious.

Some serious fucking idiots posting on this thread.
Some retards blame Labour & hope they are filleted yet they canā€™t imagine the pain FG would have instilled on their own.

Tough calls were made during the lifetime of the past government but they had to be taken. That the reality of it. To say otherwise is plain stupid.

SF is a totally laughable idea as a party in power for 2 reasons.

  1. Their airy fairy policies will never stack up as business will falter under those dreams they have.
  2. Power if won will leave them making decisions which will alienate them from the core support. They will self implode in one government cycle or walk away looking for moral high ground avoiding tough calls.

FF are FF. they wonā€™t be forgiven for past mistakes this time but essentially are no different from FG.

Independents. Stability gold eh.

Leave well enough alone. Increase capital spending as tax income increase.
Build social houses.
Keep dole payments low. Make layabouts get work.
Tell dopes filling emergency rooms with non issues to fuck off.

Also, Mattie McGrath is a flute with FF cronyism blood pumping in his veins. The fuckers family has a monopoly on Co Council works in his home area. Tenders are never lost. Those praising his rantings are below average mental rating. The man openly called for drink driving limits to be relaxed ffs.

Benevolent dictatorship is yer only man. Look at Putin, thatā€™s what we need.
Iā€™d say @Tassotti would be some man for the job. Would take shit from no one, but would look after us well.

Are the social media ads (Facebook) geo tagged
Or are they rolling out Madigan everywhere

I suppose you think you are an essential cog in the chain of democracy? Going around the city making a fucking state of it with your stupid posters. Does this shit happen an any other country?

And all in the name of Joan Burton. So the Labour Party can be FGā€™s bitch and get their snout in the trough while they screw over their voters. I hope you fall off your ladder you fucking arsehole.

What jobs would you make the ā€˜layaboutsā€™ get? Or are you talking about making them work for their dole?

Cog of democracy? Not at all. But having knocked on doors and put up posters I know something of the effort that goes into it and respect it a bit more. Is it the posters that piss you off? Well donā€™t worry because Theyā€™ll be down within 4 weeks. As for your bullshit about doing it for Burton, youā€™re well wrong, I donā€™t particularly like her although I used to but like I said, my ideal of how the country should be run tallies closer to what labour espouse most of the time.
