Always. Be handy for the next charity game too. About to head to a soccer one with a few ex LOI players. Say a prayer for me
Let us know how it goes
Not at my absolute peak could I
Got the full trip over the sixty minutes, twas Darren Fay-esque stuff on the edge of the small square for a finish
Off now to do roghnóir duty
3-3 bro - lost on penos. Great day
Junior Z round 2 - hobbling like John Wayne but a win is a win. We go again.
Back at it last night - 40 minutes hard running followed by 20 minutes stickwork on the wall.
The six weeks of gym work i had in the bank stood to me and was one of the more enjoyable early season sessions I have done in a few years. I can only imagine how much easier it would have been if I had been swimming for the last six weeks or so @Thomas_Brady
Not much. It gets you aerobically fitter as long as you are pushing yourself, but the leg impact can only be trained for really by leg impact.
Also, you tend to go as hard in training as you can regardless of fitness.
20 mins of valuable training time wasted if Kev is to be believed. Also the other 40 should have been conditioned games apparently.
you dont play a hurling match on your own so why train on your own?
When are ye out in Championship?
Fixtures haven’t been announced yet. Before it was 11 rounds of league games starting third week of February and championship group of six teams with one championship match in April/May, two in high summer and the rest played off from September onwards. Matches normally every second weekend.
Assume with changes that league will be ran off first then championship starting late summer.
That’s why I was asking, I was thinking with Championship most likely starting in August it’s a bit mental to be going back so early? but with 11 league games ye’ll probably be starting league in March. Still, it’s a long run in…
Special Junior is it?
The Specials
6-1 win today afterbour 7-0 victory last week.
I came on as a sub after 15 mins today. 5 mins later I laid a ball off, turned and tore my hammy. It is very painful.
Fucks sake, I was really enjoying this, now I’m out for weeks.
I nearly pulled my hamstring again last week doing a rainbow flick to impress the kids at u7 training.
You’re a rainbow flick

Tough break. Get it sorted and play on.
A smart friend of mine told me once, things pop much easier when you pass 40. I’ve been back in the game for a few years now, and hes not wrong unfortunately. But fuck it, do no go quietly into that dark night I say.
