The bauld O’Donnell. Cappamore the venue I’d say.

A maverick.

Jaysus, I saw him recently and thought he looked slimmer than that! He’s a serious hurler in fairness to him… He must have been the one I saw playing barefoot before, although I thought I’d have recognised him.

A right good hurler but an absolute head the ball. Was very impressive for Mary I about 7/8 years ago when they lost a Fitz final to Mary I.

“A veritable buzz-saw of a full-back” I believe was the phrase The Examiner used at the time. Talent to burn as well though.

Hurled over here for a couple of years with Fullen too. Liable to do anything.

Is that an old pic? certainly appears slimmer than that.

No, I think it’s from the weekend.

Was he based here or scouted on a “travelling scholarship”? Don’t recall him kicking about the place.

Some good lines from this article about him.

I remember him playing for Limerick intermediates vs Tipp around 2013. The rest of the team were warming up for 20 minutes while he spent the time practising 21yard frees for goal. I think he was sent off by about the 20 minute mark IIRC.

He was around 2013/14 I think. Now whether he was living there or not is a different story.

He scored in or around 2-9 out of. 2-11 in that game

What he’s doing playing Junior B, I don’t know. Even unfit, he’d walk onto the Pallasgreen team, they’re crying out for someone like him.

Pudgy is a fair operator in fairness to him.

He was abroad I think

He’s been back a long while from abroad, I think he was in the states. He went to Haiti as well a few years ago to help after the earthquake. I’ve met him a few times he’s a nice fella. I suppose he must be the guts of 30 now.
