Kk v Tipp semi in 2002 was excellent. Cork v Waterford 2004 was outstanding. Today’s second half was excellent, first half was only ok. Too many mistakes to be a classic.

How many mistakes do you need before the match is deemed to be ineligible for classic status?

It had drama and some great individual moments but wasn’t the greatest in terms of standard of hurling.

The Tipp v Cork replay in '91 is probably the greatest I’ve seen but two of the Cork goals were shambolic.

Clare should have beaten Tipp by 10 points in 97 such was their dominance in the 2nd half. Not a great game.

You need both teams playing somewhere near to 100% for it to be called best game ever. In isolation as a game of hurling (take out the crowd, big day etc) it’s not even near top 10 I’d say. Cork were awful for 20-25 mins
