Have you ever seriously considered emigrating?

Only for Munster and All Ireland finals these days.

You’re home all the time so

County finals

Canada is a big state, mate

Justin Trudeau would put me off from even going there on a holiday.

That and my lack of a covid vaccine passport to be fair.

Your were right about Łódź, it’s grim as fuck! Is it representative of a typical Polish city? Warsaw is impressive, what I saw of it.

I did a night on Lodz for the Euros back in 2012. Can’t remember much of it, bar getting hammered.

The hotel we’re in is class but the city itself, it has great potential shall we say. The Off area is lively enough.

It’s representative of old industrial cities flattened in WWII

The city is leaning into its industrial history for its redevelopment.

@Horsebox unsure whether to sit on the couch all day posting on TFK in Dublin or to do it from Lisbon

If you had enough cash not to worry too much about a mortgage etc I’d say Argentina would be a great spot to emigrate to.

Parts of Brazil maybe too.

I’ve been back in the office part time at least since last October pal. Doing my bit to help the city return to normality. Some might call me a hero but I wouldn’t like to put labels on myself.

Was it for this etc? Makes no odds to the footix where they live long as they can get the EPL I suppose

Had an offer for a place in Australia in 2012 and actively pursued roles in Gibraltar around 2010. When I weighed them all up they didn’t come close to what living on the North Wexford Riviera would be.

Seriously considered a move to the US around 2016 but didn’t sit right raising kids in that basket case of a country, regardless if state

After winning the young farmer of the year competition in the early 2000s and two terms as president of Macra Na Feirme, I had job offers from New Zealand, Argentina and the Ukraine. The night before I was flying out I got a call from the local hardware to say that a position was open. The chance to drive the forklift swung it and I’ve never looked back.

That’s what it comes down to, kids…and what kind of life you can give them.

Don’t believe everything you read on twitter mate. If you’ve a good paying job it’s the best country on earth I’d say.
