i read from this post that @Tassotti doesnt have a car and happened to get a lift today and was amazed by something introduced 10 years ago

It’s the dogs bollocks alright.

Lads, I’ve left this late. Currently on vhi One plan 500 but we are looking to chsnge to a plan with better cover for alternative treatments and physio/osteo/whacko treatments (not Dan O Neill cc @myboyblue).

Anyone on a plan that isn’t exorbitant with decent alternative cover? cc @Rocko @gilgamboa @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy @Mac @backinatracksuit @anybody else who gives a shit.

Ever use their online/phone gp? Can they prescribe antibiotics? Does it cost anything?

Never used them but that does seem like a good service

They do get prescriptions

Glohealth had a good version of online/phone gp that covered prescriptions. They’re now owned by Irish Life Health (they also took over Aviva Health) so have a good chunk of the market. Their new DigitalDoctor facility looks pretty decent. On a work scheme so couldn’t tell you if it’s good value for money or not

I’ve a work scheme with VHI @Juhniallio. Doesn’t cover any alternative stuff at all. Doubt it’s good value for money either but covers the kids which is the main thing for me

Why didnt you just ring that lady?

Is medicinal cannabis legal now?

Cos I’m an idiot. Tailored finance.?

Yes. My weed isn’t medicinal though

Yep. Jenny.

Did it. She’s emailing me this afternoon.

There’s a hippy personalised package that you can add onto certain standard plans in Irish Life Health

How did this pan out for you

Uninsurable due to admitting smoking cannabis
