Hillsborough

Lads so rattled by a resurgent Liverpool FC European Champions and top of the League that they are rowing in behind the British police and arms of the Crown.

Same lads who cried about the Birmingham Six and Guildford 4 and their treatment by British police now rowing in behind the midlands police. You could not make it up

Klopp has lads spinning so much they donā€™t know where they are. Itā€™s fascinating to watch.

Huh.

The British state have failed the victims. The Liverpool fans and Liverpool FC have never been held to account for Hillsborough.

Itā€™s incredible how an English football team winning a few games this year has ruined their lives.

Bar stool Republicans celebrating victory for a UK establishment cover up. The mind boggles.

The cover up involves the denying of the role of the Liverpool fans. Who did the pushing? Who tried to enter the ground without tickets?

Stop reading The Sun.

I donā€™t.

Things that are right.

Iā€™m not blaming the dead but the sustained campaign against this sickly old man has been disturbing. Iā€™m happy he has been vindicated within his lifetime

The English FAI were the most culpable that day, they moved the match from Villa Park to Hillsborough because Hillsborough had fencing around the pitch. There was nothing the cops could do after that, it was a death trap.

Itā€™s very awful those people died but the attitude of the Liverpool fans in forgetting Hayzel has genuinely troubled me. Some Liverpool fans now think that they were the victims there too.

@Rocko, can we start a TFK collection for poor Mr. Duckenfield?

David Connā€™s recounting of what went on during the court case is sickening to read, some of what went on is quite shocking, the CPS screwed up in a major way and the judge has serious questions to answer, lies were allowed to be spread and Duckenfield was called ā€œa poor ladā€

The families have been screwed and justice has been denied

British ā€œjusticeā€ has never been for the little people, only for the cosseted establishment

But the Hillsborough families were never little people, they were and are giants, the real little people were the lying, corrupt establishment - small in every way that mattered, small of heart, small of soul, small of empathy, and small in their sense of justice

Same as Bloody Sunday, the lies were spread and travelled around the world 10 times within minutes while the truth took 23 years to be acknowledged in the Hillsborough familiesā€™ case and 38 years in the Bloody Sunday families case

The Bloody Sunday families have not got justice, now the Hillsborough families have not either

Now those poor families will have to put up with the pathetic comments of the pathetic little trolls who back the Sun, the Tories and the British establishment for kicks because they have no other avenue of happiness in their lives - predictably they are all over this thread

The people with mindsets like Johnny Mercer, who will turn reality on its head to try and claim the perpetrators are the victims

Liverpool is a place apart - it is in England but will never, ever be English - and Hillsborough and the way the establishment in the rest of England closed ranks to protect their own and tried to silence Scousers is a large part of the reason why

Scousers are amazing, like Belfast and Derry and Glasgow, Liverpool is a place where fools are never suffered and the people have a wit and a warmth and a sense of community and a sense of justice that most other places cannot even imagine

The establishment will never silence Scousers and they will never silence the Hillsborough families or the truth

Itā€™s a very high hurdle for gross negligence manslaughter. Duckenfield made a lot of very questionable decisions on the day and has effectively conceded that as well. It wasnā€™t right that he was effectively the lone scapegoat for it all in terms of criminal prosecutions. Its probably a correct and fair verdict as regards the criminal law standard of proof for a conviction. Itā€™s risible in the extreme to suggest as some have that Duckenfield should be recognised in the New Years Honours List.

Huh? He stood up to the lies, threats and bs for 30 years all by himself. Fucking D list celebs get honors these days at least this fella will have earned it

His incompetence led to the death of 96 people and you think he deserves a reward?

Let him have his little moment, @Lazarus that is, not Duckenfield, trolling this makes him happy for some reason

Sadly there is no chance of a @Lazarus act for the 96 that died through no fault whatsoever of any civilian at Hillsborough that day

This is the first interesting thing Lazarus has said on TFK and itā€™s the wrong interesting.

Youā€™ve got to admire the jurors who stood up to the enormous pressure they faced, reviewed the evidence, gave the man a fair trial and returned a resounding not guilty verdict.

They refused to convict an innocent man.

The actions of Liverpoole fans had more to do with it than any one individual

Letā€™s be honest here. The 96 who were killed were the innocent ones. They were in the ground on time, sober and had a ticket.

There must be a lot of living Scousers with a guilty conscience over what happened that day, though. It was the done thing at the time, fans of every single club turned up pissed, ticketless and late.

Duckenfield faced an impossible situation. He made his decisions in good faith. A jury of his peers believed him. Innocent.

Iā€™d feel guilty if I pick pocketed a dead person anyway
