SS and Biarritz have highest ratio of Michelin stars to population in the world I think so if you like your grub then would be decent shout
Enjoy your break away buddy.
If you meet any Clare lads out there be sure to let us know. We all love those kind of stories.
She could.
You could sit in the back drinking wine.
Iāve never been but youād be a fool not to spend a few mealtimes in San Sebastian if youāve no kids holding you back.
Whatās up with Santander, @glasagusban? A bit bland, is it?
Was aware of the fine dining in San Seb and Biarritz alright, @dancarter. Sorry, I mean @gilgamboa. But a well respected and traveled mentor told me San Seb was a bit fucking British. Any thoughts?
I like the idea of going to Pamplona and a little village somewhere in the wine region. We were also recommended to try Saint-Ćmilion before we hit Bordeaux on our way home.
Is Biarritz itself worth a stopover?
Thanks, guys.
Iv never been in San Sebastian, Biarritz is a nice town. Full of surfers. Decent bars. Well worth a night
San sebastian for sure.spend the day on the beach.go on the piss at night
There is a street that has shops that sell Ra and ETA gear
Where? I need a new LinkedIn profile picture.
San Sebastian.
This is true
Stop aaking me inane questions
Imagine allowing yourself to be driven around a foreign country by a woman.
I wonder if you didnāt know how to drive would you be as nervous a passenger?
Probably not as nervous as you should be.
1 day at most in Biarritz, bro. Small town, surfers and old French people. San SebastiƔn is deadly. Go there.
If you are in that neck of the woods might as well go to Lourdes and pray for each other.
Saint Emilion is east of Bordeaux, youāll have to go though Bordeaux to get there.
Itās pricey but certainly worth a few hours of your time, Iād suggest doing it by rail from Bordeaux (35-40 mins each way) rather than in a car if you want to do some wine tasting, especially if itās a good day weatherwise, which it unfortunately was not when I was there in June. Chateau Villemaurine do wine cellar tours in English.
The Dune du Pilat on the coast near Arcachon about 40 miles west of Bordeaux is certainly worth seeing. Itās a massive five mile long mountain of sand which you can climb up and there are plenty of car parking facilities there. Itās a pretty astonishing natural feature and Iām surprised itās not better known outside of France.
Drive up to the Dordogne with a bag of pills. Some bowls, swimming, wine and a BBQ with the Robinsons.
I lived there for a while pal. Itās a pretty city but yeah, bland. Definitely missable and not as worthy of your attention as the other cities in the region.
