Unbelievable, we had this red chicken curry when we went trekking in the mountains and it was the best curry I ever had. They had just killed the chicken and we’re cooking it in some sort of bucket, the claws were still on it and everything, sticking out of the top of the bucket

I posted a similar anecdote a few months ago in the ravenous thread I’d say, our fella ground the spices for three different curries in a rudimentary pestle and mortar right there, I don’t recall a chicken being killed but I wouldn’t be surprised, easily the most memorable meal of my life.

I was waiting for that one 
to be honest I was giving an exhibition of ball control to the locals in that mad tennis football game they play with a ball made from reeds, fucking great night it was, 4 or 5 beers to round it off, serious walking needed to be done again the next day.

You could go to the snake farm. I didn’t visit a temple myself in Bangkok you’ve to cover up as much as possible. Anyway the temples are better known up north of the country. There’s a couple of massive department stores that your woman will surely enjoy. You could go out to Koh San Road that’s where all the backpackers traveling Asia stop when in Bangkok. Sukhumvit road is best place to stay if you’re happy paying €70 a night or that kind of thing. There’s lots of tittie bars really that your missus might not want to be dragged along to though. Watch out for the rats running in and out of sewers under the footpaths. Where are you staying, what area?
