We were on the way back from Cork on Sunday and stopped off in Emo cc @myboyblue for a stroll. Went to the tea romms…one coffee, one tea, two slices of carrot cake, a scone and two little juices for the chislers. 30 snots.

Can you reduce the price by removing free cancellation and paying upfront?

Although you need to be very careful with that.

Stopped in Kells Bay on the Ring of Kerry Sunday.

  • Two Coffees
  • Two scones
  • Chocolate Biscuit Cake
  • Chocolate fudge cake
  • Hot Chocolate
  • Glass of Milk

€20.50 - thought it was good value given the location.

Knowing Kerry that was just a deposit. The balance will come off your card soon !

That’s a savage spot. Did ye walk through the gardens and the shaky Bridge etc?

Careful now, you’ll have @Fagan_ODowd accusing you of bringing pestilence and famine by not demanding to pay more.

No, didn’t go into the house, this was at the spot on the main road over head. The little bay looked like it would be a great spot on a warm day.

It’d be more next time you go back and you’re not on your own

The Ukrainians have taken all the lower end hotel capacity apparently, meaning the middle end boyos can gouge away. We were going for a week a while back and decided to just not bother. Fuck that

That must be it alright. Sure you can’t even get a room in the Greenhills.

You can’t get a room in Limerick any weekend these days. Place is flying it. Full of stags and hens which we never got

Beach is tiny but nice and grand place for kids and can jump in off pier. Before you get down to beach though there is a house and gardens which the spiel says has its own micro climate… Apparently loads of stuff growing there you won’t find anywhere else in Ireland. Don’t know about that but it is a lovely place to spend a few hours walking around and there is a big rope bridge and loads of dinosaur sculptures etc in there for kids

It’s gone nuts. Are normal people paying these kind of prices for hotels? Would they be charging this if no one is taking up rooms? Hardly. I know one auld gimp alright an associate of my wife’s who goes to hotels in Ireland often enough and places that would be €350-450 a night. I find it utterly bonkers.

Got 2 rooms for whole family all inclusive out of Knock- Costa Bravo four star. 1800 all in. 6 nights.

We’ve holidayed in Ireland every year since 2015 and never had change out of above amount

Gimps coming in from county Limerick don’t count.

I payed €115 for a double room in the Radisson in Letterkenny lately. Seemed reasonable enough.

I’ll give you a clue.
