I went on Triavago there to try and find a room for a Wednesday in late June in Dublin.

Prices astronomical as you said but the fifth option was only €120 and recommended so I said I’d check it out. Turns out it was the Fairways hotel in Dundalk (not recommended from people I know who’ve stayed there). I’d actually be further away from Dublin there than at home.

Spare room here you’re welcome to.

Much appreciated mate, but was looking at taking the Mrs away for her birthday for a gig and an auld roll in the hay.

My generosity only extends so far!

Put straw in the spare room as a compromise, help the lad out !

He can go out the back for a knee trembler and a quick splash with the garden hose before being let back in

Will it be another year of staycations lads?

Lads, is there ne’er a hotel room to be got anywhere in Dublin anymore for under 300?

The Marine in Sutton for a start.

Holiday Inn O’Connell St.

And forum favourite the Clayton Liffey Valley.

As I suspected. Tis gone mental lads.

You’d want your wallet examined to be booking a hotel in Dublin

Ring up any of the large chains like the Radisson or Hilton and ask for their corporate rate for some random large tech or pharma company and see what they’ll give you.
