To be honest i heard nothing actually new over the weekend, other than going to Cork match there was very little GAA talk.
I have noticed though that opinion is turning with the players, and there is huge pressure on the big bad boss to come out and open his fucking snide little mouth. But much of this has come through the media, and other than suing the media, FM doesn’t take one wit of notice of things in the Da Paper.

Someone who was at recent Cork County Board meeting told me that a note was passed up to the top table during it stating that Gerald McCarthy’s elderly mother had died. The Chairman went through the process of issuing a vote of sympathy on behalf of the Board only for it to subsequently transpire that it was a hoax. Nasty business.
She took ill that day. McCarthy didnt go to a challenge that night against Waaaaaahhhturfurd, giving credence to the rumour. Not sure about the note being passed up though, that would indeed be bad business and really muddy the waters.
Scandlous if true Bandage. Would be one of the more distasteful things if true. Of course it being true is the actual question.
It could have been a genuine mistake as well.
Dan i’d say the Mallow thing you could belt away with, let it out. The other thing i wouldn’t risk, its so huge that should this site ever get dragged into it we could be rightly fucked, and as i said to you, i just can’t believe it to be true.

would that not just be an insurance issue anyway?..i doubt players would be insured for injury under any scheme as they’re not a recognised team?..

Of course they do lads. Nothing at all wrong with anything they are doing. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if it was given on the cheap for advertising. The publicity Mallow is getting is unbelievable.
Once you pay to use the facility you are insured, i have used Mallow and other similar facilities several times for teams and just 5-a-sides.
This is more of the skullduggary that the CCB take part in.
