Humphries on the Cork saga

if the march was at 5 id say the traffic would not have been affected a whole lot
No, he has got very like that. I have lost alot of time for Ger in the last 2 weeks. But what is very noticeable is the age profile of the people who were clapping the players off, and who were at the game in general. They were very old for the most part, and i would recognise a huge amount of them from CB meetings or from neighbouring clubs.

As for the march Maire, i haven’t a clue girl. It should have been sunday down to the Pairce if anywhere at all.

As i say knowing the way the CB operate i can’t see the march making one bit of difference to them, they couldn’t give a flying fuck if there was 40,000 there. And to an extent they are right.
Its time for the players to knock out Cabbage and nominate Brian Corcoran; no better man to put manners on Frank the Wank
Saturdays examiner. Called him out more or less to answer some questions. I’ll have a look for it there in a minute.

The Barrs is so split up its unreal. Between the hurling/football divide, this Cork issue, barman fucking off with a load of money.
From a club point of view i’d say Ge Mac all the way, he was a big driver of the fundraising for the new facilities they have.
That must be interesting
Anyone have any idea what side of the bar JBM is sitting?

The lack of use of Brian Corcoran is this whole thing (if he was willing) is another big mistake by the '08 panel.

When I was a babg is was all about the tickets; piss him off and your club might only get 2 tickets and at the last minute; play nice and everyone got sorted.

I suspect it might still be a pithy as that.

Well out of it. He’s training Clough Duv for the year. First time he ever has done anything outside of Cork or the Barrs. I would say he’s a players man, but i’m basing that on his views of Frank.

He’s definately willing. Is there anyway we can get through to the players to step back and speak through BC only?

Guaranteed coverage.

The last thing Brian Corcoran put his name to was a batch of dodgy hurling helmets from China.

It could be worse; like holiday rentals in Wexico

…and that book!

is it fair to say Corcorans book cost Cork a Munster title in 07? sure it drove Waterford demented didn’t they beat Cork twice that year

I doubt it had much to do with it. Waterford were the better team that year. There own lack of concentration cost them the 1/4 drawn game. They should never have been in the position they were in.

its about inches kevin, i wouldn’t underestimate the influence of Corcorans pop at Waterford in the book.
ill advised i thought

Maybe, maybe. Either way they did exactly what he said, and bottled it again afterwards, twice.

him being right or wrong is besides the point, it cost cork i have no doubt of that, but sure he made a few euro out of it

Doubt it, Waherfurd were a savage team in 07; they could have bate Cork 10 times over, but it still didn’t win them an AI.

And so what if he did? He was a giant. From both codes.

And do you think he got even a quarter of what Gerry Ryan got in upfronts for his heap of drivel?

Cop on Bollvicks; Brian Corcoran’s '99 campaign was extraordinary. From start to finish it was legendary, and (im my experience to date) was the greatest season ever for an individual player.

His book cost nobody anything 'cause neither team won anything the other wanted more.

Corcorans ill advised Waterford bashing meant the Deise gave absolutely everything in order to beat Cork that year, Cork could have won all 3 matches but didn’t win one, WD were hungrier and were willing to die for it.
Wd were fucked at the end of that Cork saga, they had shot their loads and had given everything to put cork in their place, … 6 months after Corcoran lambasted them in his book.
Wd might have been a savage team in 07, but Mary they only showed it against Cork, on all 3 occasions. That WD team were not good enough to win an ai, but good enough to put one over on Cork.

Its a bit sad (if true) that they needed that when they were clearly capable of doing it anyway. Says more about Waterford (or Justin) than BC really.

it says alot about both parties

Maybe.
