He’ll be very offended with that.

He knew nothing.
It was a relatively mild but wet winter with a dry February followed by 5 days of unseasonal snow.

I would not pay any heed to the charlatan @TreatyStones. He is likely one of the fairies himself. He is in cahoots with eddie lenihan

I thought he was Eddie Lenihan

Well I have never seen the two of them in the same room but I will give eddie the benefit of the doubt on this one

I was out in car there earlier up the Wicklow mountains when I cam across a bush laden with black/blue gold.

Any bit of roadkill for the dinner?

I passed three pheasants. If I had the shotgun I was sorted.

I cant see these bastard things anywhere around Rochestown — the gentry must have wiped them out around here to deter the peasantry from even thinking of coming this way.

The fairies have taken them all.

Good man. They’ve probably had the all important first frost by now. If you’re looking for a budget gin, stay away from Corley’s in Aldi and go with Windsor Castle London Dry Gin from Tesco. For a top end result, your home county’s Boyle’s Gin will give phenomenal results.

How are we looking this year? Will I regret not cutting a few extra hoppers?

I’ll take the dogs out tomorrow and report back but I get the feeling it will be one of those unremarkable winters. Pretty mild, bit of rain but no major cold snap.

Possibly. I regret not picking a few mushrooms, cc @backinatracksuit
