They aren’t foxes @TreatyStones is seeing, they’re some local stray dogs.
That’s the same crow you shot last year.

My favourite bird
Came home and not sign of the dogs, the 14 year old JRT caught a rabbit and was tucking in. Shes happy out and I left her as I want to keep my fingers.

Bula bos.
You could not shoot enough grey crows.
The father keeps the .22 by the kitchen door to that purpose. One year, not long ago, he shot over 50 of them in the calendar.
Magpies should also be shot freely. I have shot a good few of them myself and would shoot a lot more if I lived out at home.
Grey squirrels too. And you can eat a grey squirrel.
You can, if you want
Pretty nice. Not flavoursome but perfectly pleasant. Have eaten a fair few grey squirrels I shot. Just casseroled them, mainly, when they are just protein. Had already tried grey squirrel when I lived in England, out of curiosity.
For experiment, I once boiled one – same as for a rabbit – and then fried it in butter, same as for a rabbit. Grand enough but a (wild) rabbit is far tastier.
Rabbit is the nicest meat. It’s lovely.

Wild rabbit is delicious. I grew up on it.
Farmed rabbit… Grand – but…
