The rats of the sky.
Wait until the seagulls start coming. Youāll have great fun then. I hear Drogheda is plagued with them.

Thatās it. Multi chambered with a live magpie or crow in it to attract in more.
Eddie Finch. What a name for a bird catcher!
I had a look at those traps on YouTube. What is the agreed humane way to dispatch a caught magpie?
With a kango hammer
A small dose of rat poison each morning for a week

Wring itās neck is how Iāve done it.
Earlier on in the summer, I picked a nice little batch of wild strawberries in the garden. With the small amount that wasnāt scoffed, I decided to use a John Wright recipe and made a type of rumtopf. Equal amounts of wild strawberries and sugar in an old jam jar, topped off with brandy. I cracked it open this evening and poured some over ice cream. It was absolutely delicious. Long after the taste of the alcohol has abated, Iām still left with the taste of the strawberries. Highly recommend this for any of the forumās hedgerow foragers.
Did your old man ever use a Larson trap? A great yoke for the crows and magpies.
Neighbour of mine catches magpies. Heās one fat fucker in the middle, in a sort of inner cage, that he feeds. The others then see him ateing and enter but canāt leave. He leaves them for the fox then.
The trick with the Larson is to have a foreign lad in the middle as bait. If you can get a magpie from a few miles away, youāll make hay. The ones you catch can then be sent on their holidays to a Larson trap in another townland.
Would you have to wave at the magpie everytime you walked past or is once a day enough when itās the same magpie
Whatever tickles your fancy.
What you need in that or any other scenario involving the lone magpie piseĆ³g is a green watch strap.
Touching something green repels the bad karma attaching to a lone mag.*
The odd stranger whoād be in the motor for a spin would be perplexed at my waves & 1 fingered salutes to the Magpies on my travels.
10 rounds at 75 metresā¦and a stray from another target. Kinda puts limericks so-called triumph in the shade
Picked this years sloes this evening. Havenāt weighed them yet but itās a good haul.
Give us a pic.
Overrun with Foxes out my way. Hounds were deployed today for cub hunting. Welcomed by all
22 with a scope?
Sorry to say but your grouping is shite. Grouping is more important than a bullseye.
