Hurling is the greatest game in the world

Then why is there no Connacht provincial final in stick hurling? Why does only one county in the most rural province in Ireland take hurling seriously? Is that the Jackeen’s fault too?

Test cricket is the supreme sporting spectacle, especially a drawn match.

It encompasses every single element of truly great sport.

Munster is the sporting heartland of Ireland. Football is the second of the two in Munster.

That will do me as I don’t give a fuck about nothing counties like Sligo, Leitrim, Longford, Wicklow, Carlow, Fermanagh, Roscommon etc. etc.

All of them please.

ooooft

Bobgall only gets a crowd when a county of 1.24 million people is involved. And when that county plays oustide of Dublin, it’s famous supporters don’t even bother to show up.

You and your fellow dubliner, @thedancingbaby, have hung your argument that bogball is a better sport than HURLING on the perceived notion that bogball gets bigger attendances. When you take Dublin and it’s 1.25 mill residents out of the picture, then the attendances are more or less the same.
So ergo your argument is worthless.

DB identifys himself as a mohill/leitrim man and attends a lot of their games, good enough for me,leitrim would be much better off if more of our dispora came back and helped us out like the D B’s and the Darcy’s did

Ha ha utterly laughable. Your attempts at deflection are ludicrous.

Can we have the attendances from the provincial finals please? Only the Munster stick hurling final gets a half decent crowd, the rest are non events. The four football finals are vibrant occasions played in front of huge crowds.

Hurling is a minority sport, most Irish people don’t give a fuck about it, thems the facts.

There was around 35k-40k empty seats at the Leinster Football Final

You would need to know something about Irish history to understand. Hurling is played where agricultural land is good, it’s that simple.

The Galway Roscommon replay had an attendance of 16k :joy: @Matty_Hislop

Kerry Tipp final played in front of 21k - cc @Matty_Hislop :joy:

Wrong, you thick cunt. The only people that care about it are Irish. West Brits favour their Norman football. hurling is by far the sport of the Irish people.

Ah 30k at the Leinster football final. I’d say you couldn’t move in Croker that day.
21k at the Munster football final.

33k at the ulster football final
Around 25k at the connaught football.

27k at the Munster hurling and 30k at the Leinster hurling.
But as @Lebane stated its not about popularity. It’s about the spectacle

Your moving the goalposts here pal. It was a rural sport earlier, now it’s only played on good agricultural land.

It’s just not very popular, stop trying to create stupid stories to justify why this is so.

What was the attendance at the Connacht hurling final?

Hurling is only taken seriously in a handful of counties that border Tipperary. Yoga is more popular throughout the isle.

It’s more Irish to not like hurling as the vast majority of us couldn’t give a flying fuck about it.

Sure using that logic, 5 a side astro is more popular than GAA

It was played behind closed doors due to rowdy Lancashire supporters
