Because there are not many Irish people in Ireland. Most of them live in the US, and do not have access to RTE or Sky.

Increasingly Ireland is populated by Britspittles like yourself and @Matty_Hislop. The real Irish (rural Ireland dwellers excepted) are in decline, its up to the immigrants now to keep the flag flying.
