Excellent. We are back at the top table.
Not if you are cork.
This is a great proposal by Michael Burns. More games for all counties & guaranteed 3 home games minimum. The C graded counties have the advantage of playing all their fellow shit teams too. So I know you donât believe me but weâre going to win the league. Credit Liam OâNeill for his leadership on this matter too.
Proposals seem good, but why not go the whole hog and have it that the top 3 in each group are into All Ireland 1/4âs and the remaking two spots can be won thru the provincials in some way. Start the league much later.
That would leave importance to all 3 competitions. Not sure how the provincial would work, maybe the last standing team from outside ye 6 qualified teams in each province qualify. All remaining teams play in All Ireland B Championship.
I donât think you can Have any excuses then. Championship goes back to complete knock out. All the traditionalists get the provincials, the progressives like me get meaning to league and provincials. Clubs get nailed down County fixtures to work around.
Provincial champions get choice of venue in quarters? You could even give it the frisson of the rugby league playoffs where they get to choose their opposition as well. Always good value as the chosen opposition donât need anything else to pin to the dressing room wall.
Where does this leave Carlow? It will be a disgrace if they get left behind.
Lets say one group finishes like this say 1st are Offaly and Wexford are 2nd in the group, do they go on to outright league semi final or just the semi final in their section? Does a team get relegated from their section?
Cork should be in 1B end of story.
FFS sake.
Its a complete rip off of American football where your schedule is determined by last years finishing position. This is a positive move as the closer the worlds best amateur sport becomes aligned with its best professional sport the better. Other ideas we should rob could be multiple referees, the abandoning of this ridiculous running clock which only serves a purpose to end the tedium of soccer and munster rugby. and cheerleaders.
Carlow and Westmeath left out of this and back to Division 3 which is where the relegated teams will goâŚ
Shut up with your inferiority complex.
Best post here in years.
Heâs just looking for equal treatment and heâs correct.
We are annexing them

so basically youâre not sure what you are proposingâŚ?
Ffs cool the jets kev.
This whole process stinks. Carlow and Westmeath discarded to pacify Wexford and Offaly. And the entire sham instigated because Cork are too arrogant to recognize their place in life.

Never happy.
My understanding of this is 4 teams are graded A, 4 teams graded B, 4 teams grade C. Based on the league last year:
A: Kilkenny, Galway, Tipperary, Waterford
B: Clare, Dublin, Limerick, Cork
C: Wexford, Offaly, Laois, Antrim
Then you could end up with
One Group: Kilkenny, Galway, Clare, Dublin, Wexford, Offaly
One Group: Tipperary, Waterford, Limerick, Cork, Laois, Antrim
For example, Where in Group One
Galway play Kilkenny, Clare, Dublin, Wexford, Offaly & also Tipperary, Waterford
While Wexford would play Kilkenny, Galway, Clare, Dublin, Offaly & Laois & Antrim
The top two go through to the semi finals, while the bottom them in each group to to a play off?
Is this correct?
Seems very unfair if this is correct?
