Hurling League 2014

FFS. They lose on one game, maybe. If it rains the day Cork are at Wexford park then maybe it makes no odds. The crowds for league games in these counties are awful, when Wexford hosted Cork in Div 1 there was never that many people.

For them to publicly single out Cork now is absolutely stupid. Cork may well have been very involved, but there are people from other counties in charge. What have they done in the interim 2 years since they got relegated to make sure this couldn’t happen again? Not a lot I would suggest. It’s making their stance look petty. It’s not Cork they should be going after, it’s the system or the people that allow this to happen and let all this cloak and dagger behind closed doors shite go on.

Believe me, I’m in Wexfords side, I have a strong dislike for the Cork CB, but Wexford are making a Hames of this.

Point of order here. Wexford got excellent league crowds for the likes of cork. You’re inventing statistics.

Doesn’t matter what anyone hasn’t done in the last 2 years. This proposal is disingenuous and wrong. And no amount of deflection, distraction and finger pointing can make it right.

If it is a thing that it goes ahead, I sincerely hope that Cork get relegated. It might happen too because they are utter cack.

In face it rained for our home game against Cork in 2005 and there were over 8,000 at it.

A lot to do with the 2004 semi you woul imagine.

Both teams are crack now so nobody would go.

If this was anyone other than Eexford you’d see it my way, that’s the type of view and impression you give here.

Of course it matters what they didn’t do in last 2 years. Action is everything. Successful counties/teams/people make things happen, others talk about it.

Get off the stage appendage.

I think everybody knew the day cork were relegated that the league would be restructured.

Hey Kev, learn to accept that people will have different outlooks to you. They might even be more valid.

Exactly. Even in the last round of games lads were posting that if cork go down the league will be restructured.

The 2004 semi? Don’t be ridiculous. Twas the second championship game in a row Cork hammered us out the gate, that wouldn’t give anyone appetite.

So people are turning up to see the opposition and not Wexford. Do you not see that as an issue?

@glasagusban - Appendage always comes across to me as a “get the fuck over it and drive on” type of fella. Not a huge amount of personality, but not a huge amount of bull shit either. If this wasn’t Wexford I genuinely think he’d view it differently.

You’re right on the personality bit.

This would be wrong regardless of which counties are impacted. Clearly more annoyed that it impacts Wexford.

It’s total bullshit. And those gutless limerick cunts are as bad as cork in all if this.

When the system was brought in in the first place and limerick and Wexford threatened not to play in it, why did Wexford back down? Limerick were arguably bought off by the Aussie rules game in the Gaelic grounds. Both counties should have stuck to their guns and would have had considerable support. Doesn’t reflect well on either county but then not much the limerick county board does reflects well on them.

How does the gaa work? I’m at a loss

The GAA will never excel once you have the likes of Tan thinking this nod-nod wink-wink administrative hooligism is ok.

you are fast becoming South Limerick Referee

first Limerick bought Kerry’s vote for the hurling league by agreeing to a seeded draw in munster football

Then Limericks vote in the hurling a few years back was bought by a decision on an Aussie Rules\int rules games

anything else?

I am hanging up my keyboard.

Wexford are detemined to fight the proposed resolution at next Saturday’s Central Council League meeting- Why don’t these cunts just fuck off? They will be promoted up next year in place of Limerick- What’s another year?

I see Gavin O’Mahoney had a right whinge in the Examiner today. Complaining about having to travel to Antrim for league games

Too fucking right, the wifi service once you get beyond greater Dublin is a joke!

A Limerick hurler objecting to an overnight jaunt :o
