They’ve done a great job with it. There’s a path on opposite side to car park (pedestrian entrances at the roundabout ) that brings you up a nice steep path to Blue Light and can go on up mountain from there

Moylussa, this is a savage ascent

Leopardstown business park looks resplendent …was it built by the normans or Celts?

The Normans. Harvey Norman to be precise.

The auld fella went up there a couple of years back and said it was a right boggy route, is there much of a trail?

hup out of it

they have a railway sleepers trail at the top now, otherwise it would be a right bog alright

Like the Galtees, Lough Derg is another underrated area, Milennium Cross is one of my favourite spots, not much of a hike but the views across the lake are savage.

It’s been very dry so it was straightforward though very tough, the 1800 feet is achieved in about 4.5 kilometres, I was mostly off trail but there’s a path if you choose, it’s a good bit longer.
There’s sleepers to the summit for about 500m but there was no need this morning, the boggy ground had a lovely spring to it.
