Do you ever go up that path over on the right? I see people the very odd time coming that way and I’ve no idea where it starts? I’ve only ever gone up the normal conventional route, say the Newport side.

There’s a forestry road up the Killoscully side, is that what you’re on about?

Yeah that would be it I’d say.

Mark an ‘x’ on a map where the trail starts from there someday and send it on to me, I wanna go from that side. change of scenary.

You can drive up from that side pal. It’s called the Ballyhourigan entrance. You could also come up from Toor and join up the Slieve Felim Way.

Take the right here. You can drive up and the road goes to the left and there are usually a few spots by the barrier and you can continue on from there.

Ah yes, I’m gonna try that side someday.

If you’re more adventurous again, there is a short route, steep off road route up.
